Hempcrete Western Australia is a small family owned & operated business, based in the Fremantle area in Western Australia.


We specialize in building with Hempcrete, whether it is the construction of a new house, a feature-wall, bar counter or a granny-flat, we take great pleasure in turning your ideas & dreams into reality.


In July 2018 we successfully completed the first hemp house in the peaceful suburb of Beaconsfield, which is just a 5-minute drive from the busy Fremantle coffee strip.

With over 11 years’ experience as a carpenter in Denmark and Australia, the owner, Mikkel Hansen, understands the values of both Scandinavian and Australian building styles and designs. With a passion for environmental and sustainable building methods, he made the change to focus on building with Hempcrete in 2017.
